Uefa Has announced The Use Of VAR In The Champion League From 2019/2020 Season.
Uefa has announced that starting from the year 2019/2020 season that VAR will be introduced in European competition and the main purpose is for the referee to have a second chance for determining what happened before making it final decision.
Accordingly to Uefa that VAR will be used in super cup and also Euro 2020,as well as in European league from 2020/2021 and also 2021 nations league final.
Uefa has been on this topic severally trying to make a conclusion on it but now they have said and announced it that starting from 2019/2020 season that VAR will now be invented in the European competitions.
It was used in 2018 Fifa world cup which was won by France,the purpose for this is for the referee to have a full coverage or see more in some substantial things that happened in the match before it final determinations or decisions.Its has been said that many coaches and footballer is always against it that's why many league don't really makes use of it now.
Aleksander Ceferin who is the Uefa president has said that it will take time to put in place a robust system.
The Uefa president also said that bringing the system into football is not all about knowing the event that happened in some cases but also will help them in giving sufficient training to some match officials to ensure "efficient and successful implementation of VAR" in "the world's flagship club competitions".
Meaning that introduction of VAR in football is not all about knowing what happened in a match but for some match officials to be looked into.
In 2018 Fifa world cup which was played in Russia was astounding competition which there is no much complain about poor officiating due to it was used in it.
Accordingly to some analysis on it they have been saying that the main reason that Uefa wants to introduce it is because there was no complain about the Russia 2018 world cup that was played,and they believed that it was because of it that it was like that.
VAR introduction will really mean alot to some coaches and footballers who are really against the use of it,most people believe that the decision that the referee made in the pitch should be taken no other second consideration towards it
VAR which is video assistant referee is a cinema that was brought upon in football in other to see some other things that happened such as penalty,red card or when any player has any encounter with anybody.
